Brit Prawat has been found to have a blood clot in her brain as per Distractify. She got to know about this brain issue when she was on Crime Junkie doing her work.
Suddenly, she developed a brain bleed, and this formed a brain clot. This made her absent from the podcast for a long time as she had to go through several medical checkups.

Her colleague Flowers explained that Brit had a sudden brain bleed, which ultimately formed a brain clot, thus necessitating her to undergo surgeries to have the bleeding stopped and the clot in the brain to be fixed.

The Crime Junkie Podcast also shared via their Facebook handle, where the section for the virtual card for Brit was held and people also left words of encouragement & well wishes for her health on the post uploaded on May 3, 2022.
Some of her fans, those who had a history of brain surgeries, shared their empathy with the podcast and wrote that they know how hard recovery is. Nonetheless, they told her that she would get stronger with time, and thus, they sent lots of good wishes to her.

Brit Prawat Illness And Health Update 2022
Brit Prawat has dealt with her illness after undergoing several operations in the spring of 2022. And they were successful.
As said by the co-host Ashley, the podcast host Brit Prawat recently underwent a series of brain surgeries. She has gone through every and each surgery and does have a long road ahead of her to recover physically.
On MURDERED: Joseph Kinville III, the host Ashley Flowers Brit Prawat's quick health update was shared with her fans who were concerned about her. It is found that she got 33000 emails and letters for her health wishes and speedy recovery.

It was also shared that she is expected to make a full recovery but it is going to take some time. She is doing well, and Ashley also said that the further updates about her health. as soon as they know more, we will let the fans know more, and if not, they will be giving a personal space for Prawat.
We just know that Brit has to focus on her health and is exactly doing that. And, she won't be able to be on the Crime Junkie podcast for the foreseeable future.
What Is Brit Prawat Doing Now?
Brit Prawat is obviously recovering from her illness.
With several surgeries, it is to be expected that it will take weeks for her to completely recover from the wounds. According to My Health, the surgery will probably make the patient very tired for several weeks. And some may also have headaches or problems concentrating, and thus it can take four to eight weeks to recover from surgery.
Being a relatively private person, Brit is not the person to openly discuss her condition in a public-facing capacity. And she has yet to discuss health conditions or previous diagnoses with the public by herself.
But, one thing is for sure the podcast would not feel the same without Brit and that includes regardless of how short her absence will be.
